Default I'm confused!

Okay, I got my new PCM and 44lb. injectors installed. However, the whipple injectors and piggyback are both hooked up still too.

Can I just unplug the injectors and plate them off? Or, do I need to pull the whole piggyback setup out?

There's so many damn wires going in and out of that piggyback setup that I don't know what does what. I bought the truck with the S/C already installed so I have no idea how everything went together. I certainly don't want to fry my engine or S/C because I yanked some of the wrong wires. Also, the piggyback setup retards the engine if it's detonating too much and it also controls the warning light that lets you know if somethings wrong with the S/C.

Can anyone else that's done this give me some hints? It would be much appreciated. Thanks.

You can just unplug the injectors and leave everything else hooked up. Whan I had my whipple I ran it like that for a while. I eventually put a block off plate where the 2 injectors go.

Okay, but will the piggyback still override the tune from my new PCM? I guess what I'm trying to say is will I still get the whipple "craptronics" syndrome and no new HP from the tune?

You have to take control of the bypass away from the Whipple computer. Do a search on here about reconfiguring the hoses on the bypass to operate by vacuum instead of electrically.

Do I still have to disconnect the whipple computer? What all do I have to do to disconnect it?

Your gonna be better off without those Whipple Injectors. LOL! Many people will vouch for that!

I unplugged the whipple injectors- I think I know what to do for the vacuum bypass. What I'm confused about is if I do all that do I still have to disconnect the computer? And, how do I go about disconnecting the computer? I don't know what I do and don't leave connected. Anybody?

Yes, that's what I was talking about. As far as disconnecting the computer goes, either pull the power plug off of the relay, or just take the plugs off of the injectors. You don't want to use them at all, the manifold wasn't designed to distribute fuel.

Mikegyver, just sent you a PM. I figured I will post it here too so anybody else can help me.

Is the relay the black box (connected to the master fuse box) that you are referring to? Do I just pull the whole harness attached to it or is it only one of those wires?

I disconnected power to the aux fuel injectors and plugged the bypass line but it didn't seem to have much of a difference in power. I took the bypass line where it has the 90* barbed plastic fitting and threaded a bolt in there to plug it.

Thanks for the help.
