Don't worry about the relay if you unplugged the injectors. If you have the bypass set up like in the picture, you've done all that you can. The only thing that the Whipple computer could do to kill the power is to open the bypass, and you took away its control when you unplugged the bypass solenoid.

Here's some pictures of my setup. Just want to make sure I did it right. Hope the picture links work- I haven't put up pictures yet on this site.

Let me know if this (setup) looks all right. I threaded that bolt in the 90* elbow with some teflon (pipe wrap) arount it to prevent leaks. If it's done right, I'll make a permanent fix for it that doesn't look so ghetto.

Hey, by the way, I installed a 160 thermostat but my temp gauge still reads normal operating temperatures. Is this because of the piggyback? Will everything still run allright this way? I'm still wondering how much of the electronic functions that piggyback controls.

Thanks again for the help.

The Whipple computer only fires the Whipple injectors, and opens the bypass when it thinks the bypass needs opening. It doesn't have control over anything else. Maybe if I change my user name and post the same reply with different wording, you'll trust my answer then.
By the way, you did unplug the bypass solenoid, didn't you?

I trust you. I never hurts to get other member's experiences with this though. It is thousands of dollars of equipment and it's not something I want to F'up.

I didn't unplug the bypass solenoid- I thought that was something that wasn't supposed to be done? I appreciate all your help in this matter. Thanks!

I know, I was just being an a-hole.

I am not sure if it does anything after you do the rerouting of the vacuum lines, but yes, unplug it. Just in case activating it still has any effect, by all means unplug it. That way, you can laugh at the Whipple light on your dash, because your truck will keep pulling strong, and you'll see when the Whipple computer would have been opening the bypass and killing the power. If you leave the computer hooked up and powered, the only thing that it is capable of doing is turning that light on.

Well, does it run better with the bypass closed?
