i used a 1/2 watt 560ohm resister so when my nitrous is armed the computer thinks the air temp is 140* and pulls out 3 degres . total cost was under 20 bucks .

seems to work pretty good wen i arm the nitrous the relay switches over to the resister and the air temp reads 140 then it reduces the timming by 3 degrees .then u can have your tune customized to pull what ever u need .I am running 26*off nitrous then 23* on the nitrous .

A potentiometer, like a volume control on a guitar. It acts as an adjustable resistor. Usually those little ones mounted on a circuit board are called trim pots (potentiometers). Those look like a little box with an adjusting screw.
