Default IAC motor and plunger came apart!

Hello to all of my long lost buddies! I decided to give the truck some TLC today and of course i ran into a little pickle. I took the IAC off of the TB to try and diagnose some idle issues I've been having. I set it down and turned on the ignition and the damn thing pops off and flies halfway across the yard. I can get it back together but it won't suck in the plunger enough to fit back in the TB. Wt do I do, besides just getting another one..?

It seems like I pushed mine in by thumb, but I'm not positive it was so long ago.

If I remember right, you should be able to hold it in and cycle the key a couple times to get it to retract till you can get it back in. Then when you turn on the truck, it will find it's park position.

On my 95 I was able to wiggle the pintle side to side and gently push the pintle back in. Should be the same principle on yours but I wouldn't bet the farm on it working either. You could get a pin out of the connector and jump your motor A and motor B circuits to power and ground and suck it in. Anyone know what voltage an IAC runs at? I would assume 12 volts but to be honest I've never had a reason to test for it.
