Default HPtuners live maf readout question

I've heard about the live maf reading (the highest reading during a log) being turned into crank horsepower example: 35lb/pm=350 hp some people have said it is fairly accurate is this times by ten rule of thumb true or just a myth?

I dont think that figuring your drive line lose out at a percentage is correct say you make 100 hp you would lose 18 to 22 hp and if you make 1000 you lose 180 to 220 thats not happening.
