Default HPTuners with 64bit vista

WHo is using this combo, I cant get my drivers to take on my new laptop. I looked at HPT forum and seen the whole F8 deal but thats BS. What are you guys doing to get it to take?

are both driver turned on? to be honest i didnt do anything when i got my new laptop just loaded and it worked just fine...

I tried everything and the only thing I could get to work was the F8 option. It sucks but I don't see much alternative if that's all you can find to make it work.

I used the readydriver thing from the thread wheatley linked to. It does th F8 thing automatically every time I start up.

The trouble is the hpt drivers dont like to play nice with 64bit vista, the 32bit version works just fine.

1byte = 8 bits

in regards to the OS though, a 32bit operating system has the capcity to handle 2^32 bits of information, whereas a 64bit can handle 2^64. What this means for a home computer is basically not much besides you can use more than 4gb of ram.

Thanks for the nicely detailed explanation.

Still makes no sense to me....lol. Guess that's why I run an auto shop instead of computer stuff.
