I have a desk top I do all the mail orders on that has Vista 64 bit,I use XP on the laptop though yes sir.Hell I think I have about 3 laptops now LOL

I did so much crap that I can't remember what actually fixed it, but it seems like it started working when they sent me the 2.22.3035.28206 Beta version.

have you tried uninstalling in safe mode through the device manager?

It says that the FTDI installer quit working and it wont uninstall. When I try to update the drivers it says that the most up to date versian is in use and doesnt let me do anything different.
