Default Horrible noise coming from front end when accelerating

Ok so I have an 03 Chevy silverado with 2wd. I recentlly heard a horrible noise coming from my front end. The only way to describe it is that its like a metal scratching sound. It's only there when I accelerate and a little bit when I let off the gas. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hub bearing assembly possibly. Jack it up then use a jack or prybar to lift up and down on the tire and see if it has excessive play.

Take the wheel off and look under the caliper.. you will see if the wear tabs are touching the rotors..
