Where are you taking that voltage reading? You can't rely on the dash volt meter. Dash gauges will typically drop when normal reading or writing is going on.

Dash... The meter drops and the truck power cycles during read. Nothing is screwy with my aldl wires either. I'm at a loss. Suqs *** that I have to save logs and tune the other pcm instead of doing it in the vehicle

What does this mean?

Again data to the cluster is interrupted during read and write. What the gauges display mean nothing.

The guages sweep during read and write in my 99 to signify certain points in the process, when its done it momentarily cuts everything off.... Only time ive had issues with it not wroting completely was when i thiught i had it plugged in all the way but didnt quite have it plugged in all the way...
