Default Help on 4L80e tuning

I know all the little tips and tricks to tuning a 4L60e, but I was wondering if there is anything different to tuning an 80e? How much pressure can I run, tcc pwm's etc... I'll be tuning my brothers (jake99 on here) truck. Transmission will be a stock 4L80 out of an 05 Chevy van 2wd. Truck is a 99 RCSB with 4.560 gears and is making approx 500 crank HP and we will be running a 150 wet shot through it.

Also, I use EfiLive and will most likely be using a tune from HoldenCrazy.com, so which tune do yall recommend? I do need an OS that has an 80e installed right?

Yeah, find an OS off of holdencrazy that is the same number as Jakes but with a 4l80e. Then just do a segment swap. I am not finished with how the way mine shifts, so I can't elaborate on that. If the tranny is out, it would be a perfect time for a shift kit.

Yup, shift kit has been installed. Segment swap, is that where I do a full reflash, and then just go back and do a cal only flash from the old tune?

I used a 2000 6.0 4l80E base tune off holden crazy for my segment swap.

On EFI LIVE forum, There is a sticky by Blackbear. ( he might also be under DCJUSTIN) . Its so easy to do after reading.

I can give you a copy of my trans settings if that will help you get started. I have EFI Live also if ya didnt already fig. it out LOL

If you did a shift kit, you want to leave your pressures.
