Oofffff. Now that im not sure. The couple harness ive done didnt have a problem. But have no clue what year they were nor any specifics.

Best i can tell ya is try it and see. Can always fix the wiring and make the alternator charge by running an IGN wire to the coil field and goin that route, turn the codes off in the tune.

I just got my 2005 alternator rebuilt/upgraded to 160A and puttin it on my samurai with a 99-02 harness. Just gotta figure out what wire to energize for a charge.

Also, when i first ran the 12212156 OS (2002) on my 2000 PCM, i had to turn a code off. Still worked fine, but the pcm lost something. Generator field F i think is what it said.

Maybe it is on the connector at the alternator then. The 99-00 use the same 0896 PCM and the 01-02 use the 0411 PCM. It is amassing how different the factory tunes are between the two.
