Default Getting into tuning?

I've been tossing around the idea of just buying HP Tuners and learning to tune my truck myself, but I have no prior experience with tuning and the only things Ik about it are what I've read here... Being as I'm just getting into modding my truck do you guys think it would be smart to start the learning process now or just do the mail order tune? I'm interested in learning but not sure if I wanna take a chance of effin my truck up...

Its really up to you, if your a DIYer like I am self tuning will probably be the way to go, if you aren't normally hands on a mail order or dyno tune might be your best bet.

Good thing is many of the places that do mail order tuning also sell our products so you might be able to get the product and a mail order tune at a good price.

I think it is a good idea. My very first modding purchase was EFI Live and a wideband. then I read and read and read, and started to learn how to tune... Then as i got a little bit better tuning i started doing mods... That was about 5 years ago... Learning how to tune while doing mods is the best thing you can do IMO.... That way you see how each new mod affects the tune.

I bought Efilive a few months back and it has confused me since. Its one thing after another that you have to learn/go thru. It takes alot of time and experience.
