well a buddy of mine already wasted his money and bought a hypertech, tried to get him to get a wheatly tune or nelson but he wants the handheld. well he asked me if i could install it in his truck, just curious what kind of settings should i put to get him any kind of power from it? its a 05 gmc, 5.3L with a TB spacer and a intake. its a crew cab i believe, not sure if it matters or not. thanks fellas

 

i don't think its really gonna matter much. i would just not install it and say you did and see if he thinks it runs any better. and if you do that and he doesn't notice any difference he will probably wanna spring for a mail order tune. Just my .02

But seriously if you are actually gonna do it than just put it on all the highest settings and be done with it.

 

there aren't that many options and the display gives step by step YES/NO instructions. Very simple, you'll have no problems. Might notice a little gain

I dunno.. He has a TB Spacer. I hear that can make a nasty combination. Crank it up and see what she does!

 

tell him to return it and get a diablo sport as far as handhelds go its the best.

i'll be sure to let him know, well turns out he said it was given to him, said his buddy ordered one and got 2 in the mail and gave him one. I guess i would try to make up a bs story too if i just found out i wasted that much money
