is it worth it to descreen my maf sensor? I remember reading that it's there to straighten the air flow over the sensor but in some cars it's recommended to take it out. What do you guys think?

not worth it IMO

in some cases people are having idling/tuning issues with it removed

On a truck with a stock tune, de-screening yields some benefit... It will trick the computer into thinking less air is coming in than actually is coming in, yielding a slightly leaner WOT fuel mixture and slightly more timing due to spark reference in a low table column.

With a custom tune, a de-screened MAF yields no benefit, and oftentimes will run worse than a stock tune.
