Default ditch my wait4me and go with nelson??

I was thinking today about calling nelson's and have them re-tune my pcm. I have no complaints about my wait4me, but everyone and their dog is talking about how great nelson is. What can he do that wait4me can't? Is the switch going to be worth the money??

He can't do anything more than Jesse. For a little more money than the Nelson tune you could buy your own software.

I know nothing about nelsons, but get your own software for best results .

You will make more power than a mail order when you tune it yourself.

well I don't know about making more power tuning yourself over a mailorder. Depends how you look at it. If you have no expereince tuning or even dealing with the software and don't really want to take the time needed to learn it...mail orders are made for ya. No mail order tuner is going to push the envelope (knowingly) everyday tune requests, where as one tuning his own would push a little further and hence make more power.

I don't think going to Nelson would be cost effiecient, especially if Jesse's tune is working for ya. I am with Moddoo on that point, if ya gonna spend 600 bucks, and you want to learn how to tune, buy the software and work off a tune that already works.

If you are having trouble with your Wait4me, I would definately tell you to check out Nelson. Nelson was the only mail order tuner to touch my truck and it was nothing but fantastic, even after the cam swap. I went to tuning on my own because I wanted the ability to adjust on my own when I add mods or push it where I think it could be taken.

I've got HP Tuners and I'm learning how to tune. They have a forum like this one and they're a big help besides being a great bunch of guys. Some of what they talk about I don't understand, but I read and learn it does take time. The best part is I can change what I want on my truck and it only cost me once.

nelson will push the envelope in a mail order tune if you ask him to. and yes nelson will go further in a tune than jesse. i have seen it with my own eyes and other tuners that i know say the same thing. yes if you want to do it yourself by learning then go ahead. if you are not patient and dont like trial and error with tuning then mail order will be for you.

A mail tune will get you a safe tune-one mail order tune lost 30 hp on dyno and that was the only way I got a refund(faxed them the dyno sheet)
Get HP-
I will after all the $$$$ spent on tunes and dyno time I too could have bought HP by now.
There are a great bunch of knowledgable guys here and at HP forum who will be more than willing to help us.
