Default Custom Tune in Texas for Vortec Engines (DFW, and surrounding areas)

I just purchased a 2007 Silverado with the 6.0L Vortec Max. On my old truck, I have a 5.3L with CAI and a BlackBear tune - Even at 302k miles, the BB tune is sweet. I don't know if it would beat the Max, and won't find out since I rarely push ol' faithful thesedays what being over 300,000. But it's safe the say the BB Tuned 5.3l is much more responsive on the low end.

So, this means I've been spoiled lol and that I need to get a tune on the Max. I was looking at blackbear and they won't be in the DFW area until next fall - while I was very pleased with Justin's work last time, I was wondering if there are any equally good local options?

Any input from guys in Texas? I've searched around and there are alot of threads on this but most of them I saw are a few years old and some of the tuners are not longer where they were/in business etc.

Thanks!

Tou could always take a mail order from justin and let him fine tune it when he is there. Im sure he has a solid file for a stock truck.

What option did you go with? I'm in the process of researching for a mail order or local tune for my 01 5.3 Silverado. Interested in seeing your feedback on what you went with.

Or you could always travel into Oklahoma there's a few tuners there I don't k ow anything about them but have seen some when u was digging online. Or you could travel down here to Lubbock and go to TES performance or to NeuRacing in wolforth

Sounds good man thanks for the responses! I've heard mixed reviews from black bear mail in order tunes, so looks like i'm going to go with a local tuner.
