Question Climate control issue (hope this is the right forum)...

Short story...short, I have no temp control on the passenger side...it's always HOT. I know there's a little motor for each side that controls heat/cold...and I have control on the driver side. I know which motor it is, I can hear it run (driver). I found the motor behind the dash for pass. control as well...when cycled between hot/cold...this motor isn't moving. Really don't imagine it's an ICC problem...so I'm really thinking it's the module itself for the control (switches), or the motor that controls this flue (sp?). Don't imagine it would be that motor for the simple sake that the driver side would be cycled more in its life that the passenger side...but hey, electronics do some crazy stuff. Any insight? Thanks...

It is usually the actuator (motor) for the passenger side blend door that goes bad. I remember that there was also a reflash (software upgrade) for the HVAC control module. The control module would try to overdrive the actuator beyond its stops and eventually it burns up the actuator.

It is always the actuator. Pull the dash pad and some of thos brackets on the RH side. Move the defroster duct up and ahead and you can get to the 5.5 screws with a snap-on 5.5 1/4 inch universal socket. A dealer or side shop will probably charge around 3 hours labor to replace it.
