The OLM (Oil life Management)is a complicated mathematical algorithm that includes milage, time, temp. etc. it is pretty accurate for regular dino oil and for synthetics you can actually reset it once before you change the oil.

I change my oil when it gets to 50% even thow I use synthetic, I got this vehicle with 5000 miles on it and it now has 13000 I have changed the oil 3 times transfer case and tranny once. I have negleted some of my other vehicles in the past and this is the nicest vehicle I have ever owned and I have a lot of money tied up in it. So at least for a while I think I will over do it some.
