catalytic converter clogged

I see your in memphis, I'd give the guys at Advance Muffler a call. They're on summer ave. and real knowledgable with exhaust. Great shop.

They are the ones I got the converter from 2 years ago. They said they don't have a exhaust gas analyzer to test to see what my reason for the converter clogging. They just put converters on. So I am taking it back to the mechanic to check everything.

Mechanic I have been using at the dealer said all his tests did not find anything to mess up the converter. My idle is high around 900 and won't come down. He ran some new grounds at the computer with no change. He doesn't know why the idle is high. Hopefully it is the converter.

cat was not clogged up. It was just not operating right. It is purple though. Guy said that meant too lean or rich mixture. Mechanic will have to try again.
None of the problems were solved by the new converter.
