Default before and after nelson tune

Has anyone ran their stock truck on a dyno before and after a nelsons tune?
I am wondering how much more TQ and HP, and where is the power band at.
I am looking at getting a tune from there for my stock 05 5.3. I tow alot and I am looking at improving my towing performance.

Thanks

Dave

tvsilverado, can you explainto me about nelson customer service, do you mean that it takes a long time to get your tune back or that allen does not take the time to explain your question about tunning.

i am looking to change my tune and i am gathering as much infomtion before i make a change and your history would be greatly appreicated

thanks

I have been dealing with Allen also for quite some time, his tunes are great. Allen can sometimes be hard to get ahold of ( he is very busy )but its worth it for his tunes. Allen will explain allot to you about the tune, and answer any questions you ask him. I have seeked his advice on numerous things through the years and he has been extremely helpfull, and always pleasant to speak with... Just my .02

allen is probably the nicest, coolest guy youll ever meet. he will answer any/all questions you have and not make you feel stupid for asking. i guess my major issue was the fact that he lives in san-antonio and im in houston. he used to come to houston about once per month but that dosent happen anymore. he was really really hard to get ahold of (atleast back then, maybe things have changed). with me living so far away i couldnt set up a schedule when a returned e-mail might take 1-1.5 weeks. since then ive found a tuner in my area that tunes for 1/2 the price, and took an extra step into tuning my truck that allen didnt.

allen as a person is awesome, allen as a tuner is incredible, but the distance from me, and the communication turned me another direction.

thank you for your information, communication is a great and i think important part of dealing with tunes when someone living in another city or state. Waiting for one week to answer your question seems to be poor customer service when you want your car up and running. One thing i have to say about my wester tune is that lyndon is very easy and prompt communicator, i just wish he live in the united states.

Keep this in mind.

Buying a tune $400-$500
+Shipping the PCM X number of times, each way, for new mods or tweaks
+Down time for the truck
= More than buying your own tuning software such as EFI Live or HP Tuners

If you're willing to learn and have some time to spare you can do it yourself. I did the handheld programmer, the mail order tunes, dyno tuners,...I now have my own software. I reflash my PCM several times a week tweaking it to my tastes. I would have spent WAAAAAAY less to just buy the software first.

Ill second this. I was also turned off when i had called for a month requesting a tune for higher compression. Im not made of money, but i think customer service is a major factor in earning my business.
