I have an 05 5.3 sierra with catback, cai, and i have a superchips handheld tune on it. Is it possible for a tuner shop to put a more custom dyno tune on the handheld tuner so I can put it back to stock if needed (i.e. going to dealership for service). I am probably going to put lts and y-pipe with hiflo cats on in the near future and want to tak full advantage of my mods with a custom tune. when it comes to tuning and computers and such I am completly new to this so all help (and in easy terms) is much appreciated. Thanks.

 

My recommendation would be to put the stock tune back into your truck & sell the SC unit off & get tuned by a professional...then if you feel the need you can buy a full tuning software package to tweak that tune to your liking.
