Well my MAF took a dump on me sooooo i gotta buy one. I have been researching the newer style card MAFs. the corvette guys have noticed it is more accurate and steady than the standard 1 peice MAFs. Build the calibration for the MAF is no biggie, i got that handled...
I have the PN, but my i left it at home... From some research they are used on all kinds of vehicles from cobalts, to trucks to vettes...

yep i am gonna try it... I plan on adding a screen to it... over on tech i found a link to a couple of places that sell the mesh screen thing.... members on tech noticed a more stable MAF output when it was added.

On the older trucks with the smaller MAF's, Camaro's and V6 cars GM has changed the replacement MAF to a blade type. I have not seen this on a GMT-800 V8 yet.
This is what they look like and the tubes are different sizes per application

No it is at the bottom of my todo list since it is not that important...
I gotta get and build a 80e, all the swap crap, driveshaft balanced and rear end gears, then i can at least go WOT... Then i will do the MAF upgrade... So hopefully around Dec or Jan.
You don't really scale it. basically you build it... First you tune your VE table the best you can get it... Then you build a MAP that looks like your MAF table but instead of using AFR, BEN, etc as the data, you use dynair. Then you leave the maf failed but you log MAF hertz and dynair to build a MAF table based on your VE table. That should get you in the ball park if not pretty damn close. Then you reenable the MAF and tweak it... That process can be used for any MAF sensor. It is also a good idea todo this when your starting with a questionable MAF table, such as stock...
