anyone know how to test cluster without installing?

i have a couple 03-up clusters i want to list i know worked before pulled just dont have mileage on them. cant test it in my trck because i have a 2000 silverado thanks for any help

Do you have the necessary equipment to reprogram them to work in another vehicle? Any test you do will be a failure if the cluster doesn't recognize the new vehicle's VIN.

Clusters aren't vin matched on the 03 up trucks you can plug and play. The only difference the VIN makes is for programming options like DIC control, curb view settings etc.
All you need to do is power the ign input which is pink and ground and it'll light up.

Yea, but his truck is a 2000 so that might not work. Are you just wanting one that goes to 120mph? The '99-'02 Escalade clusters do and I think the 1500 HDs might also.

Sounds like he's just trying to verify that they work and the mileage on them so he can list them for sale.

thanks for the info guys ... wish i could get the details on the cigarette lighter hook up or even with any 12 volt power supply still have those clusters but havent touched any of em yet
