Default Anyone have a good 6L80e TCM tune for multi-disk stall?

The lack of clarity with tuning the 6L80e TCM is mind boggling. Most tuners seem to admit that they really don't have a full grasp of all of the functions of the TCM (even though its been out for years now). I admit that I have VERY little understanding of the tables in HPTuners (which I guess is preferred over EFI for TCM tuning) other than the "Auto Shift" and "Torque Management" areas as those are pretty self explanatory. I can read and understand the general function of each table but I have NO idea how manipulating said table will contribute to the overall operation of the transmission. It has also been proven that the 6L80's are VERY sensitive to the TCM adjustments. This creates a BIG problem when installing an aftermarket converter.

So...I guess I'm asking if any of you guys have a multi-disk lockup converter in your 6L80 and are happy with it's operation, would you mind posting up your HPT file? (if you have HPT of course). Even if you don't have a multi-disk but have a good command of the 6l80 TCM, maybe chime in with some suggestions on how to tune for a multi-disk converter?

The only help that i can try to give, contact Mike@New Era Performance or Area47. Both of them seem to have a handle on what is happening with the E38 Pcm.

I too am curious of how this plays out.

I am going to have Zippy look at my file to see if he can get the correct adjustments made.

I just spent almost $6k on an upgraded trans with a new multi-disk 2800 stall. The builder hired some outfit to provide my TCM tune and its complete CRAP. Even I can see that it's not a proper tune for my application. They set it to slip above half throttle in 1-4. I will upload it and log runs so at least I have some evidence to send to my builder to show them that they picked the WRONG company to provide tuning.

Please keep us posted on what you find.

I'm still saving for HP tuner pro, and then want to have REPUTABLE guys tune my stuff.

Ps: I've heard nothing but good things about Zippy
