If your doing 1 type of controller It may be worthwhile to save a few bucks and do it yourself. I like to Dabble with different projects and sometimes need different ECU connectors.

I started with the EFI Connection Hobby series set back in the day and recently upgraded to the Bench force series. I have several adapters for ECU/PCM, Body control module and a cluster harness so I can work with them out of the vehicle. I am kind of sad that they discontinued the hobby series as I felt it was great option for the DIY person.

The Bench force series is very robust but the cost is not really consusive with a DIY person.

Yes that's the Hobby style they used to offer. It worked great for years. But they don't support it any more. So when I had to buy new ECU connectors, I needed an adapter.
I sold it to a friend who still uses it and make his own connectors for his stuff. I sent some of the old connectors I had out and they updated them with the new plug for the Bench force adapter.

If you know what your looking for, you can buy all the plugs and pins through mouser cheaply. It wouldnt surprise me if they bought in bulk from them as well.

FWIW, The 99-07 classic trucks are pined the same for communication and power on the Blue side.
