Default Any canned tunes use hptuners or?

Just as the title states do any of the mail order tuners use hptuners? Perhaps is it ok to order a black bear that uses efi live then when I do get a dyno tune they can still modify it with hp? I am wanting the mail order for the drive ability and part throttle side of things and transmission settings. As I'm guessing they have a lot more time into it than just driving around a little bit as most shops do around here after the dyno tune. Does it really even matter or am I overthinking it? Thanks for the help guys.

Only if you use one of their custom operating systems, Then one can't edit the others COS. As long as the stock GM OS is used, then either one can be used after the other has been used.

Most if not all mail order tunes leave the computer locked so that the tune can't be viewed or modified.

I've never seen a Nelson tune that wasn't locked. I've changed quite a few Blackbear tunes with no problems.

That's the exact issue I'm having now. I got a nelson mail order tune as a start up. The tune is great for mail order but could be better. I have blackbear autocal stuff now that I've used on other trucks. Trying to get it in my 2001 now.

Your going to need a new PCM or get the dealer to flash it, then you can use your AutoCal.

You can get a PCM off Ebay for about $100.
