Default 98 Silverado Tuning HELP!!

Just finished my buddies truck and we are looking to get started on the tuning. I pulled out the tune thats currently in the truck and I am totally lost with these VE tables.
Every vehicle I have tuned to date have had a standard VE setup and I have no idea how they are arriving at these numbers and how to modify them correctly.
This is an L31 Vortec, not a genIII motor. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

They're similar to the Traiblazer VE tables... take a look on HPTuners for Ve tuning Trailblazer I6... you should find some of my previous posts with configs to match... I'm at work so can't take a look at the file.. but I've done a '98 before.

On the GENIII cars and trucks you would add or subtract your VE AFR error% if using a wideband,on the vortec L31 trucks you would take your VE AFR Error% and multiply to your VE table!!
If you are wanting to tune your VE,you need the MAF to fail
Go under engine dianostics>airflow>MAF fail high set to 0 and also set MAF fail Low to 0.
now go under DTC and set your P0103 error mode to MIL on first error. You must throw a P0103 in order to tune the VE tables and to disable the MAF sensor, thats why you need to set the MAF fail high and low to 0!!
Also, you must scale the VE secondary table also or the changes will not take effect if you only scale the VE primary, you must scale both primary and Secondary!!
Hope this helps and makes sense,if not let me know and I will try to explain it better
