did i miss something? you mentioned you put your dyno tune pcm back in and works fine, if you didnt or hadnt changed any modifications then you wont have a problem driving the truck. got another pcm from junk yard? why? was the dyno tune not that great?
by all means glad you got it fixed and figured out!

truck was dynoed with the 5.3 in it awhile ago, since im far away from the dyno or any tuner i got a 06 pcm from the yunkyard because they didnt have any 05 (ask around tuner said it would work even if truck and motor was 05 and the pcm 06) send it away wish takes from 2 to 3 weeks till i get it back cuz im not in the states, i wanted to keep driving the truck with the 5.3 till i got the pcm with the 6.0 tune then make the swap wish i did
but since i had problems (videos) i put the 2005 pcm dyno tuned back in for the 5.3 awhile back in just to see if it would even turn on, now it seems to work just fine :s i mean im glad it works but i dont get it, if its tuned for the 5.3 why does it work for my 6.0???

Just because it works, doesn't make it right. There is more to tuning than A/F ratio. The computer thinks it is still running a 5.3. It will run however, the fuel trims, timing, airflow tables, ve table etc, etc. are not tuned for the 6.0. The computer will run a supercharged 6.0, it don't care what it is as long as it uses the correct sensors and crap from the correct year. As long as all the components mate in the electronics system, it will run it, not "safely" in this instance, none the less it will run. Does that answer your question?
Thats exacly what i wanted to get an answer for, thank you, i kinda need the tuck for short distances as a daily, you think not using it at wot would still be risky? Ill have the other pcm next week, thank you for your time

No problem. I wouldn't recommend it till it gets sorted but, that's up to you. If you do, keep a close eye on that afr gauge and hope you don't have any knock...... At least listen for audible knock.

This.. like mentioned above the fuel trims are different, different spark.. different everything. You can monitor the AFR but not being able to scan and watch for KR you are taking a risk. Hate to see you blow up your motor..

CASE relearn.
It requires an EFI live (I'm sure HP tuners can do it to) scan cable, and the free EFI live software, or an innovative Aeroforce scan guage, or a Tech2 scan tool. I'm sure there may be other ways to do it, those are the only that I know.
