the Drive by wire TAC module is different on the 06. not sure if that is the issue but, i would ask your tuner for "your pcm" back with a new tune in it and try it out

 

I switched back to my original pcm that was dyno tuned for the 5.3 and trucks works perfect, i cant believe it, i hit some wot runs and air fuel is fine, can anyone explain me how this is possible? Is it bad to drive like this?

 

The TAC module that runs your DBW throttle body was changed to a different one in 06. If you use an 06 PCM, you need the 06 TAC module and pedal....... 03-05 used the same throughout the years. I wouldnt be too crazy on it till its tuned. Glad it worked out.

 

I think the tune is off as well. There's no reason why it shouldn't work Is the TB from the 5.3?

yes the TB is from the 2005 5.3, so if they changed TB in 2006 i guees that my problem, the pcm i had tuned i got it from the yunkyard and it said gmc 2006

 

No need to swap anything..Send the pcm back and tell him to flash the 05 operating system in it then retune it.

 

ok but would it work if i swap over to an 06 TB? sending pcm away takes from 2 to 3 weeks from where im located, plus 2 way shipping pay, i can try to get a 2006 TB for cheap

No. They changed the TAC and Pedal. Not the TB. When they changed the TAC and pedal, the operating system and wiring is a little different. Changing the TB doesn't help.
