Default 4l80segment swap converter lock on lift of gas

has anyone figured out i theres a method to keep converter locked when u lift after converter has been locked when tuning with efi live? i know u can fix that issue with hp tuners i usually do it that way but i hate buying credits for hp when i have efi live. when doing a segment swap has efi live found a way to keep converter locked on hwy? thanks in advance..

As far as I know the only way to do it would be to use the 60E segment and the relay mod.

If hp got it a while back y can't efi... it's being done more and more now.. I'll check the efi forum 2 keep myself updated on u r bump BLKGMC thanks

You would think the EFILive guys could look at how HPT does it and figure out, but I'm guessing it's not that easy

It is just not a priority for them. They are too concerned with updating the software for new vehicles or diesels. They have not made any updates to the older pcms in a long time. Pretty much if it not a diesel or brand new they dont care.

I have put serious thought into buying hpt because at least they take care of the older pcms

I did get them to add B9021 to my OS. My name on EFI Live is JUSTASBC. I had to load a stock tune in my truck, adjust it with HPT, and load it back in my truck. I then took it off my truck with EFI Live. I sent them the original tune and adjusted tune so they could see the difference. I will try to adjust the converter tge same way, but to be honest I wont be messing with my truck for a while. The guy that helped me the most with making it work was BLK02WS6. He usually reads all the tuning section so I assume he mighy chime in. If anyone knows a loop hole around something it is him.

That's what I had 2 do for my 80swap.. now all the changes I make 2 it still keep it locked because I adjusted it with hptuners... I have both file I wouldn't mind sending them in but who knows... I'll email them may b they will take some time to look over the files...
