How close a friend is this? Sounds like a huuuuuge headache.

408 and turbo...wideband wideband wideband wideband!!! And that's not enough apparently...it's gonna be his third motor if somebody doesn't get in that tune.

Not sure where you're at in PA, but I'd agree with dropping the boost and starting from there. You should bring down here to FBC and get Brett to Dynotune it. It's a bit of a drive I'm sure but he won't stop until it's right. It sounds like he's got a ton of money in it....I wouldn't go cheap at this point...and I agree with Erik, I wouldn't want to get involved unless you guys are real tight. Once you get involved you have to assume some accountability. PM Brett (BLK02WS6) if you think you might want to bring it down to MD. and get it tuned on the Dyno with a wideband.

I'm with everyone else, I don'y see how 22* advance is posable with no meth and intercooler. I was running about 8-10* with no meth or intercooler. Something or things are way out of line....

What are the chances he doesn't have a 408 but got charged for one. I bet he could make 12psi on a stock ci 6L. Either way 12psi and no intercooler is NOT going to last with 22* of timing.

That crossed my mind.

I am not bringing it to MD, but maybe the guy that owns it will.

This is clown shoes...I looked at a compressor map of a 67mm turbo and 12psi on a 408 is off the chart. I don't think he got cheated on engine size though, because of the tq numbers. I bet he has a 408 in there, but I doubt it's at 12psi.

I assume this guy will be compensating you for tuning this right? If not, then no dice. Don't do him any favors unless he's like your father inlaw or soemthing. If he's willing to pay you for your services, then make him sign something that you're not liable for damage that has already occured, or could possibly occur due to negligent driving habbits or mechanical issues, such as a lack of an IC or meth, or a turbo blowing nothing but hot air. Cover your ***! This guy has more money than he knows what to do with, and I'm sure he has a great lawyer too.
