Default 2006 silverado fog light help

So I have a button for fog lamps, but there are no lamps in the valance, and the plastic has not been punched out. No it's not a button for cargo lamp, because that's there too. Are the fog lamps in the headlight assembly, or is the button and wiring already there if I want to add them? If I turn the button on it illuminates, but defiantly nothing changes on the lights outside. I'm wondering if there in the headlight assembly, and I have bad bulbs, or if it was just pre wired to add them. Thanks for the help guys.

That truck has probably been wrecked, many car wholesalers will install the solid valance rather than the lamps and correct valance to cut the cost and boost profit.

Well, the car fax came up clean when I bought it. And it has absolutely no sights of being wrecked.

I haven't seen one without them stock that has the button inside, but i have seen the wiring for the lights before. None the less if the button and wiring is there just plug in some aftermarket ones or find oem ones and it should work.

You can even just find the wires and check for power with the button on before you buy the stuff.

So, I figured out what the button is doing, I turned all the lights off, and hit the fog light switch, and it turns the amber parking lights on. What the hell? Now I'm going to figure out where the fog lights tie into the parking lights, and wire up some fogs. Any insight?, where can I find a wiring diagram? Would a Haynes manual have it?

Hitting the fog light button without the head lights on....turns on the parking light, working correctly, calm down.

Haha, see I didn't know that. After about an hour of digging, I found the connectors for the fog lamps. So off to buy some lamps and put them in.
