I've searched the forums and havent found any answer.

I have 2006 1500 RCSB 2wd

I swapped LQ4 and 4L80E from 07 2500HD and tried to make the 4l80e to work with my PCM but couldn't get any success so i flashed the 2500HD which is 2007 OS to my 06 PCM but now im getting security issues the truck starts for a second or half a second then shuts down i checked all fuel pumps everything is working the problem is with the PCM and security(VATS) are turned off in HPTuners and its been like this for couple days and can't figure this problem out.

 

Did you repin your harness for the 4l80?

 

Nope no repining need from what i know never thought it needs repining, I can swap the 07 PCM to mine.

I forgot to mention that i already swapped the 2500HD Harness with the engine/transmission.

Transmission was functioning correctly once swapped, just after i flashed 2bar SD Tune to the PCM its shutting down after it spins few times security thing.. Should I swap the PCM or swap the BCM i dont know what to do!! i need to tune the truck and i can't get it running!!

So to sum it up harness and PCM are correct since the harness is from 2500HD and PCM flashed with 2007 HD OS 2wd.

Good Lord...you could have used the stock harness from your truck. You can also use your stock pcm. You need a tuner that knows what they are doing.

 

Thanks for your reply, I'm in kuwait the other side of the planet and nobody can figure the problem out, Thats why im here trying to get some help from you guys, A little more details would help and be alot appreciated.

 

Change the VIN number in the ECU to match the correct VIN from your truck. If you Disabled the VATS in the ECU you should not have this problem. If changeing the VIN and disableing the VATS does not work, then there may actually be a problem With the KEY cylinder or BCM. Did you try asking for help on the HPT board???

 

Did they do a full flash? or just a calibration only?

Also do you still have the 2006 gas pedal and Tac Module?
