I have a 2004 silvy, ls1 fans with a harness I made, and hptuners (non-pro, not the beta either)) with the fans completely controlled by the computer so I assure you it is possible to do what you want without anything fancy.
I also have my wideband piped through my EGR port, which is how I got around not getting the pro versions.

Atomic, maybe i'm just an unlucky one. I decided to test the beta, works as advertised. One fan kicks on and when it reaches my next setting, the other fan turns on. Also A/C fun comes on when A/C is selected. Good thinking on the EGR port, wish I would have known about that and still had an extra $150 in the bank.

They did, but they just elimnated the egr stuff, the computer is the same. The ports on the PCM are the same and still active, they just turned them off. Its very easy to just turn it back on in the pcm. The AC pressure wire is another common way to long wideband through the computer, but egr is preferred.
