Default 05+ fan convert

theres gotta be a thread out there,but...on my 04 4.8 liter with the clutch fan, what all do I need to convert over to a 05 electric fan set up?

Fan set up I know is one, but is there a harness or switch or relay I need to get?

Yup, its really that simple, I should have added you will need an 05 radiator, the 34inch for the fans to bolt up right. Or you could hop on tech, buy some ls1 fans, and blackbear still has a harness for them that plugs right it. With the ls1fans the bigger radiator isnt needed.

yea, those are ls1 fans. you can also make your harness instead of buying one, if you are comfortable with wiring.

yup^ I ended up buying a set of 05 fans, and a nelson harness from somebody on here. Then modified my harness to a 2 pin set up.

Sorry I dont have the diagram on this computer for the wiring harness, atomic might

Both the 5.7 LS1 and 05 newer fans are in a pair right? Just the truck ones are right next to the one and the cars are staggered right? Buddy here at work has a 2005 with a 5.3 and was using his as a templet for my swap, any idea of a HP gain by doing that?

I can get a LS1 fan set up for 99 bucks and a truck set up they wanted 190.

You should be able to find ls1 fans cheaper than that, maybe post up on tech. that sounds about fair for truck fan, but you need the wider radiator as well, then they bolt right up.

Im not sure what else your asking tbh.
