Default 02 Running Light Socket

02 Running Light Socket. Dose everyone have the heat issue with them? Is there a way to fix it? Best place to get new ones?

They always run hot and turn the sockets brown. It's really nothing to worry about. I didn't like it on my '99 Z28, so I disabled my DRL's. On my truck and Yukon, I left them alone.

How do you test to see if they work? Working by myself. Thing has to be in gear and moving before they come on.

Truck needs to be in the sunlight, transmission in drive (or reverse), engine running. Once you do that, set the parking brake and go take a look. Try not to run yourself over.
