I used to be in the same boat as you Scott, but I'm slowly learning over time. You have to remember that being an LEO is just like any other profession there are good ones and bad ones.

I'm sure most people have more GOOD cop stories than bad. Of course there's always those cops who got beat up in high school so now they take it out on mostly innocent people, but those jerks are everywhere in every profession. It's just a shame that bad LEOs have the ability to drastically change your life over lets say a bad sporting goods salesman.

all kidding aside, I agree 100%. For the most part majority of them are just doing their job. But look at it like this.
You know the laws. So if your doing 75 in a 65 and get stopped. Don't get pissed at the cop for doing his job.

me and my parents have called on drunk drivers right in front of us on the road running people off and hitting signs and they wouldnt show up. i even stopped at a place with one who was sitting in their car and they wouldnt come.

but when i was playing with a nitro rc car they came to my house because it was too loud. so what exactly are they doing when they cant respond to something as serious as a drunk driver??

Chances are they are responding to other drunk drivers.

Of course it will take a cop awhile to respond to a drunk Ahole in a parking lot shoving his wife. Thats not exactly a high priority situation. Sure it sucks that they cant make it, but they do have more important things to attend to.

I deal with cops on occaision with my job and am studying to be one now. When there is an important situation. They are on the ball.

Like when an old lady is doing 3mph over in a school zone

I was in traffic school with a lady in her 60's. she got pulled over and given the first ticket of her life for doing 18 in a 15

Or flip a U right in front of you when it's raining without any warning at all. Chased that guy for like a mile flashing my lights, honking horn & finger out the window...he wouldn't pull over to talk.
