When do you know to draw the line with spending money on the truck?

Cool When do you know to draw the line with spending money on the truck?

I've just been kind of tired of putting money into the truck. I've done a lot of stuff to it but still want more but I know if I start doing heavier performance mods that it will just add up to more and more and more.

Just wondering how some of ya'll are able to just say thats enough and quit droping coin into your vehicles.

Dude you'll never be done. I started it wanting a 14 sec truck. Just a lil better then stock.. Then I wanted a 13. Then a 12. Broke my truck. And wanted to rebuild it as a low 11. Set a end goal and stick with it. Set a budget out for the truck and only use money from it. Best way to kind of keep a "leash" on your spending

Thats the thing. I've set "goals" before but I'm never ever satisifed with it. There are time I wish I could do this, or do that but now that I'm starting to get into more expensive ****, its where I question if I want to step into that part of the moding. But I'm sure people will call me a ***** and blah blah blah but I like having money in my pockets lol

there is a line, and you cross it at the 1/4 mile haha!!!!!! You will never be satisfied nor will the itch ever stop!!!! I wanted a solid 12 sec daily driver, I got there and now I want to go 10's so im moving on to something that will net me that! You can daily drive a 5500lb truck that runs 10's so that's my limit!

Set goals and accomplish them then if you are not satisfied change directions and start something new!

Once you have the mod bug it's really hard to stop. It all start's off so simple, maybe just some appearance stuff - wheels tires - then exhaust a good tune, time goes by, gee you get a little bored hummmmm i need a charger, shift kit, it can be an endless deal.

I think you have to set goal's and stick with it, even when you see something new and you gotta have it.

If you enjoy it, and can afford it, do it IMO. I have a list of **** that I want to do and some parts already (LQ9 shortblock, WCCH StageII 317's, exhaust parts, electric cutout, etc.), I just can't afford to do it all at the moment, so I had to draw the line at doing only necessary maintanence and repairs that the truck really needs...and I can't even afford to do all of that right now...truck might end up parked again for a little while...

What I did was set a "truck fund" acct at the bank. I have a small portion of my check sent into it. It adds up I buy something I want. If I get hard up for cash it comes from that acct. That way I dont let the mod bug break me! As for when it stops. As said earlier just set goals. Who cares if it takes money. Dude If you enjoy doing it then you spent your money wisely. Money comes and goes. memories are forever.... less you get alzheimer
