Whats Wrong With My Comp???!!!
#1
This morning i restarted the computer so that my AVG crap could get it's update right....
Well something went wrong cause all the dang thing will do now is when you turn it on it displays the first screen...aka: the screen that says Dimension 8400 blah blah and it has the little progress bar i guess. Normally once this bar is full the screen goes blank for about a second or so then my choose user screen pops up.
Basically it gets to the go blank for a second but nothing comes up afterwards.....
I tried to press f12 and f2 but it beeps or whatever but won't let me do anything....just does the same thing. Loads the little bar goes blank but nothing comes up after?
Any ideas on whats goin on?
I'm using my PS3 right now to post this up and it's kinda annoying to say the least lol.

Different beeps mean different things.
The most common is memory.
After this is hard drive.
just a blank screen could mean processor,
Mother board or video card.
i would bet that a chip on your memory stick went out
Killing the whole stick.
Time for some new stuff.

Ok, well i found that PS3 internet has one BIG advantage......57" ****.
Anyway with that said my comp is back up now.
I opened it up and used a blow dryer to get the dust out. It was freakin bad man i horrid.
Then i unplugged my fax line from the back of the comp and it seemed to make the computer go a little further aka a new screen.
But then froze.
So i unplugged the fax alltogether and bam...after about 4minutes of very slowness from my pc it came alive.
Normally it's a fast startup but i'll take it haha.
Now i'm just wondering why the heck my fax----HP OfficeJet 7410 All-In-One is making my computer go fudgtard??????????

if its running but very slowly it could be a sign of a damaged ram module... if they get dust real bad... you are dealing with microvoltages, and it could have shorted out a pathway on the ram module which is causing the computer to work harder to try and use a broken part... if you have 2 ram chips take them out one at a time and see if one or the other makes it run better... if taht works then you found your bad one... then just say hell with it since most older style ram is dirt cheap just go get 2 new modules of a signifigantly larger size..... youlle be happy you did

It's not running slow anymore....it only booted up real slowly.
Now that it has been booted up and everything it's up to speed like normal?
I have not tried to reconnect my fax modem again though........
