I put 75/25. I don't have super tool collection (yet) but anything I don't have I can go to the hobby shop on my base and use. Lifts, welders, drill press etc...I did the 6L swap, tranny swap, cam/springs/converter swap with a friend. I think I could do it alone now. As far as transmissions go, I pull out the bad and put in a new one, the end. I am gonna swap the pan and change the fluid this week though. lol. My Eaton and gears were done downtown by a pro, and for his reputation and the amount he charged I would have had him do it even if I knew how. Sometimes I find myself weighing the time and effort factor vs the $$ factor because this is my only DD. This coming week I am doing the Baer brake rotors, hawk pads, tranny pan, and hopefully a better tune.

Everything on my truck is done myself - wrenching, tuning, fabricating. I just can't trust anyone else with this.

90/10. I'm with some of the other guys. I'm **** about my truck and don't trust anybody else to work on it. Plus the money saved.

I don't understand how some of you guys can rebuild engines, but not a differential? A rearend is 10 times easier IMO.

I have done just about everything to a truck you can. I would tackle anything on the truck as long as I have the time to do it. If i dont have the tools for the job i run to the store and buy them. I dont own a shop so i dont have large equipment like front end alingment, exhaust bender, ect. but I know how to use them and have used them. I did the body work on my truck and helped paint it. one day I plan on opening my own shop but that will be a while down the road.

I'd say I'm about 90/10 or a little better, i was raised with race cars so ive been wrenchin on them my whole life and built my own cars and most my motors since i was 17 im now 20, i kinda like doing everything my self, that way i know everything was done right. on my truck i did EVERYTHING except for replacing the transmission which i let the dealiship play with that since it was under warranty, i also do alot of reading on here, i probably wouldnt have done nuthing to my truck if it wasnt for this site.

I haven't modded much but have done a lot of repairs over the years. I put a deck in the truck ysterday. Internal trans. and diff. are two things I have not worked on. No paint or body, either.
