I use my Company Dell Latitude D820. Battery use to last for 4-5 hours.. its a few years old and the battery is starting to have problems.. it might last 45 minutes if im lucky. Got the Computer guys at work to order me a better battery

 

Hp does own Compaq but I do not believe that they own Toshiba.
The Wal-Marts here have Compaq's and Hp's which are almost identical computers in stock regular prices for ~$548-$600

 

Dell has some good deals. 6 months ago I got a DualCore2 1.6ghz, 2 gig ram, 160 gig hardrive, and 128 mb video card with 15" screen for $650. Battery lasts 3 hours.

 

Well, the POS finally bit the dust. I went out and bought an HP
I like it, very fast 2.0ghz 3gigs of DDR blah blah blah...

I wish i could have my XP back though... I already hate this vista bullshit.

 

Gateway here with Vista got it with all its goodies for $650 brand new and works great with hptuners. Spec's for the laptop are 2.00 GHZ and RAM 2 gig hard drive 17 inch screen built in camera and HDMI.

 

Alienware m5500 here. far from the cheapest but it's a bad motha

 

if it will run windows 98 to XP.
has a P3 or higher processor.
and at least 512 mb of ram.
