I'm doing a cam swap and I needed a cam gasket swap kit.
I looked around for the best price but I wanted GM parts. I specifically called the company prior to ordering and was assured I was being sold OE parts but that they were bought in bulk and would not be packaged individually. No big deal.
I get the package and what I received were FELPRO parts. Fairly mad I called the company and was told they are made in the same factory as the OEM parts and are equivalent to GM parts.
Thoughts? I've got nothing against Felpro, the gaskets appear good quality but I didn't get what I was being told I would. It's too much hassle to ship it all back and whatnot so I will just run them. Having known I was buying Felpro parts I could have saved $15 buying from ebay.

Everyone is telling me they didn't change any gaskets when doing a cam swap. So while preconscious seems like you spent more then an extra $15.
My plan is to start my cam swap, if any gaskets look questionable then get them from the parts store. I like the idea of new gaskets but these are designed to be reused.

I wouldn't be worried about the quality of the gaskets. I would use them. I would also contact who you purchased them from and let them know that you specifically asked for OEM gaskets and that you should get a refund for the difference. Not that I would really care about the $15, but if the last person had done that this might not be an issue for you. The most important thing they need to understand is that you need to be honest with your customers.
