Default v8 Swap

I never seem to get pics of motor swaps and general work done around here so I figured i'd post up what I did get on film

Friends 04 Silverado. 4.3l v6 w/~50K

He brought a complete 03 LQ4/80e and wanted to put down decent power.

So using the mystery lq4 shortblock
.020 milled L92's
230/236 .620/.620 110 cam
Manley springs
comp pushrods
ls1 fans
big tranny cooler
Fresh 80e w/HD2 kit
Circle-D 3600 triple disc verter
3.42's/stock open rear

Willis dicking around

New motor waiting

80e swap crossmember

And the rest installed

Should be running real soon with more pics and videos to follow

Looks clean as hell, nice job. What donor vehicle did the LQ4 and tranny come from?

Thanks I have been wanting to build that crossmember for years. Not sure what the combo came out of.. I suppose it was just a 2500 work truck.

Watch out for those manley springs, theyre one of the quietest springs Ive installed but one of them broke after less than 30K on them. Thats an awful heavy valve for that spring too if youre using their beehive spring. Is he planning on upgrading to bigger headers soon too?

I say they are manley springs but really I don't remember. They look identical to patriot golds... I would never use a beehive spring with this head/cam combo.. Headers are going to stay it's his "show" truck that he wanted some more power out of
