Default So I've been pulled over twice in the last month....

for accelerating too quickly. First one said I lost traction for about two seconds and could have rolled into the ditch, etc. Told me to keep it on the track. Today I was pulled over for accelerating too quickly after making a turn. Both times my girlfriend was in the truck with me and after both stops looked at me and said "I think it's because you're truck is loud so they think you are going fast."

Now I'm not bitching about cops, I understand they are doing their job.... but seriously? Rubber wasn't flying everywhere, tires weren't screeching... so how does one determine accelerating too quickly?

P.S- If you're one of the officers that pulled me over, I'm not mad at you, I just can't figure it out.

/End story.

Depends on the statutes in your state, but here in AZ if they determine you are preventing acceleration for the purpose of a public display (ie. breaking loose), they you can be cited for exhibition of speed. Its a sneaky little statute and its not even in the damn book, it's some addendum that came as a result of a lost court trial and can only be found online.
I was told by an attorney that used to be a public prosecutor that a cop can pretty much cite you for anything. Laws can be bent to work against you.

i dont even want to hear anything from yall about being pulled over. you know its bad when you get pulled over in the evening cause your right front headlight is out cause it got smashed, cop headin the other way sees this and turns around and gets behind you, then recognizes a little 3 letter badge on your tailgate, then proceeds to question you about a certain person (who is also btw a member on here who is a street racing and youtube ***** who's name shall not nor need to be mentioned as we all know who im talking about) and asking if i had been racing because i had two bald tires in the back, a tsp sticker, drop-house.com sticker, and the "other" sticker. fuuuuuuuuuuck. good thing i had the body shop paperwork with me saying that my new ordered headlights havent come in yet.

The first one said "it's loud, I know its got a lot of power...but keep it on the track" I had to hold back a laugh since its a practically stock 4.8

******* state troopers are always pulling me over (notice my avatar). That man is trying to hold us down! I hardly speed and pretty good about following the law. The first one was for failure to yield. (because I sped up too fast to get on the freeway) the second was for expired inspection (ok that one is my fault). Third was because my gps and sirius radio display where a "distraction"(seriously? am i supposed to keep it in the back seat WTF!). Fourth was for taking a drink of my water while driving(the douche bag said it was drinking and driving...GTFO) the local cops and county deputies are cool as hell with me because I work for a 911 service but these damn troopers are a buncha dick heads!

Stickers and anything that makes your car truck etc stand out might as well hold up a flag saying pull me over. especially the f*cking idiots with pot leaf stickers on there cars. Outrageous colors etc. I keep wanting to do a custom paint job on my truck but i know as soon as I do, guess what my truck stands out. The 3 times I have been pulled over I rolled past a cop going faster then i should. White silver and black are good neutral colors that cops tend to notice less. And if your vehicle sounds fast even if it isnt you draw attention to yourself. Some people love the look at me and my truck mentality I prefer the you didnt even see me coming attitude better. Just my 2 cents worth...
