Of the four big Truck manufacturer's, it seems like GM is the only company that hasn't taken we performance enthusiasts seriously. Every other company has built a RCSB performance edition from their truckline. When will we get ours?
-Ford had their Lightning.
(which will be coming back you can be sure of it)
-Dodge has their SRT-10 Line of trucks
-Toyota has their TRD tundra.

And all we've had was the SS which really couldn't compete at all since it was such a big truck being an ECSB and the Joe Gibbs edition which came with a 4.8 V8. It's not like GM even has to do anything special in order to make one either, just dropping the 6.2L in a RCSB with 4wd would pretty much stand up to the competition. If they wanted to get serious they could drop an LSA motor in it and we'd pretty much topple any other factory made 'street truck'.
I think I'm gonna buy a controlling share in GM stock and force them to build us a truck already.

Why do you have to hit us GM fanboys where it hurts??
Almost all of them are RCSB too... Really makes me want to switch cause I'd be so much quicker, but I love having a back seat lol.

I guess the fact that Yota's made a Performance edition truck and GM hasn't bothered really bums me out. GM far and away has a better performance mill/support than any of the other manufacturer's imo. Ford makes a special edition for every damn car they have and about 20 special editions for the Mustangs alone. What's their argument I wonder, why do they think it wouldn't make them any money?

Yeah its BS. I mean sure our Chevys can be made faster than the rest, but dangit I sure would love to see a S/C 6.2 in a RCSB in production. I mean come on. The SS Silverado was a joke as far as performance goes.
It wouldnt take much from GM to set the standard on badass production special edition trucks.

1) no one would buy it because it would probably sticker for 40k for a reg cab
2) GM doesn't need any more gas hogs (CAFE). Everyone already bitches about AFM.
3) The ones with enough $$$ to buy and support a performance vehicle end up building it on their own already, or they probably already bought a camaro ss, cts-v, vette, etc.

GM won't be making anything like what your talking about "although I wish they would", they have to keep inline with what they promised the government and what they promised the EPA. Hybrids and other smaller displacement vehicles that run cleaner and get better fuel mileage are there main goals right now. Also it's not government motors anymore Scott
the debt was all paid for 5 years in advance. But I would love to see an LS3 powered rcsb or the LS7 between the fenders. Julien what about the TBSS!!! I thought those were pretty cool.
