yeah he did his best but only so much you can do when you have to drag it up on the wrecker lol. The only other option was to find 4 spares to put on it before we loaded it up but insurance was paying for it and we were on a time crunch. Funniest thing about it all is they left the lug nuts......

I don't see any problem with killing someone stealing your wheels. You have every right to defend your property. Is society really losing anyone productive if you take out a thief? If they're in your driveway stealing wheels off your truck, who's to say they won't break into your house next time? **** em. Shoulda stole from someone else.

Not a week after I put the prototype Goodyear Kevlar MT/R's on my truck, I drove it out to a very high end area to do some work. I was parked between a brand new BMW and a new Mercedes.

I got through working and found one of my reverse spline lug nuts sitting by the back door of the building. I walked to my truck to find all the lugnuts removed from the passenger side, and the drivers front lugnuts loose. They evidently didn't have enough jack to lift my truck up or got scared off. I had forgotten my reverse spline socket and had to tighten the lugnuts by hand. I drove very, very slow about 5 miles to a Discount Tire, and they tightened the lugnuts for me.

Wheel locks wouldn't have helped you can buy what they call a master kit form both snap on and matco to take off the locks if someone loses the key. The only thing is you cann't reuse the locks if u use the kit to get them off.

Blocks make it simple.. Basically rest them under a arm or frame rail, let the air out of tires. All gone in less then 20 mins if the guy no's what he is doing. I don't think I would kill some one over stealing my wheels, but do agree with the comment about making sure they couldn't get away before the law arrived. Now in my house, totally diff, you better be faster then a bullet.

If the vehicle is inside your garage then i agree it's a different situation since they are breaking into your home but still believe you are going to have to do a pretty good job of proving your life was in danger. I am not saying I agree with someone stealing or breaking in to a home or that I am trying to defend a crook but I find it hard to believe that a court is going to rule in favor of a dead guy in your garage just cause he was trying to seal a set of rims.

Now if he attacks you with a lug wrench or something of that nature it's a completely different story but I would imagine most people would take off running if they heard something or thought someone was coming.

I am all for self defense and protecting my family but I won't shoot some petty thief cause he wanted the 20's on my truck.

Dunno bout laws there, but here in MS you have the right to defend your property. Somebody comes around the house trying to steal something you better believe they wont be walking away from it with a slap on their wrist.
It happened in the days after katrina, there was quite a few graves dug for these smart fellas trying to steal a generator or gas cans.

Thats whats wrong with the system nowdays, if people started loosing their lives for ignorant stuff like stealing wheels that would show theres a consequence for their actions.. a bit harsh, yea, but first they had to tresspass to get to your stuff.. thats enough reason right there.

I dont have any tolerance for any of that crap.

I hear ya man, This is the reason people have to pass signs saying private property, keep out etc. I also have one that says beware of dog ( for a reason ). My dog doesn't like strangers.
