Default Real Nasty East Coast weather coming soon

East Coast braces for monster 'Frankenstorm' | General Headlines | Comcast

This affects our East Coast & Midwest friends. I read this, seemed pretty important. 40 mph winds, ahh, but coupled w/. possibly 5" of rain, etc. ?!?

People's days off cancelled at utility co's? Potential for $1B in damages. Ya, this is serious ****.

Think so, huh? Jonathan, from Maine - Florida, stretched out to Ohio isn't a small area tho. And it already blasted the Caribbean, but not all the weather qualities are gonna be there. And for some, it'll hang round for a wk.
I was racing Wed. in weather that was 76° on the way there & down around to 67-63° when I got my last 2 runs in.
Today, it was 67° on way to work, after 1/2 commute it was 57°, by 9:30 it was 47° & rainy. It's comin & I'm on the edge of it too.

I needed a 40 MPH tailwind when racin, coulda helped my ETs. The rain wouldn't help but neither does poor traction. Ugh! But that'll be a thread for later today. At least it's faster.

Preparing here in costal MD on the bay. Stockpiling gas for the generator. We were without electric for 5 days when Irene came through. Sandy is being referred to as one mother of a Noreaster that could make Irene look like a punk. Hopefully it's short lived.

What makes this bad is for the people a little more west. There is supposed to be a cold front moving down from up north that is going to meet up with the storm and could cause some fairly good snowfall in places. I read some parts of WV are predicted to get 2 feet of snow.
