Default Post Your Shop

I know this has already been done. We got our new 30'x50' shop built, got the floor painted last weekend and gettin the electrical done this weekend and then we get to start moving stuff in. What I was wanting to see is how your shop is organized. Our shop now is very cluttered and very unorganized, the new shop Id like to keep things organized.

I don't have any pics, but I love the shelves I built. 4x4" posts with 2x4" supports and plywood tops, 12' total height with 3' spaces. Fits engines, transmissions, and larger stuff. The big Rubbermaid tubs are just under 3' tall too, so you can pack up stuff and store it. I also have an old electricians cabinet full of nuts, bolts, and screws. All I can say is label **** before you put it up, I have a complete TPI set up buried somewhere that someone wants to buy and I can find what box it's in.

We just moved our engine and chassis dyno shop into this building. These are the only pictures I have of it so far.
Ours is also messy and dis-organized currently from the move. We have already thrown out over 10 000lbs. of cast iron engine parts that we will never use.

My shop is similar in size, 26x60... unfortunately the building isnt zoned for automotive repair so I cant install a lift... yes, jack stands are my friend lol. Other than that it works out pretty well.
As for storage, I went to costco and got a few of their heavy duty racks, and just store stuff on there, but I have more **** piling up, but once I take all of the pending truck parts off, I should have a ton of room left.

I would look into costco for storage racks - $70 give or take... they can hold up to 1500lbs.

That's a bunch of b.s. That's not directed at u Dave, but whoever made that **** up. Tell them it's your hobby. You're not operating a repair facility. Or, what they don't know, won't hurt them.
