I admit I cannot live without the internet and some form of computer. But my GF and I are probably the only people under the age of 30 who don't have a cellphone or some form of smartphone. I only watch TV so I can sit on the couch instead of a computer chair.

Give us 15 years and we'll probably be making our own diesel (with a mechanical diesel car and truck), running as much of our own power sources as possible and only keep the LQ4 2500HD around for special occasions

Common sense can be taught, but it's the hard way... the way that no one is willing to learn anymore.

 

same here - i actually do have a cell phone

but all it does is make calls - usually only from the house because it sits on a desk like a landline most of the time.

and i hardly watch television anymore either - i quit altogether in junior high & now almost 15yrs later, i might watch something to pass some time if there ain't nothin better to do

 

No time to teach common sense, directions, survival skills, or even thinking skills anymore. None of those things are covered on the standardized tests.
