Default Pay Pal fees?

I do not get it when people ask for more money because of paypal fees. I have used paypal for a long time, and taken and sent payments of 200-300 dollars multiple times and have never been charged any money for using their service. There are no charges to me when removing money from paypal either.

Anyone care to explain the fee situation? Why I am not being charged, or why others are being charged?

I use a bank account/debit card to send money and receive it. If I don't have the funds in my paypal account, it will take money out of my debit account.

No fees

Any money that is sent to your PP is supposed to be hit for 3% for using there system. You don't get charged if you are sending money, only the receiving party gets hit..

I also use a debit card on the account. Doesn't cost anything to send the money but it does to receive it.

IE: Joe blow sends me $10 bucks for something. When I go to paypal and transfer it to my bank account, I see the 10 bucks they sent but can only transfer 9.70 into my bank account.

If they were smart they wouldnt say "add 3% for paypal" they would just include it in the price...
